what is panic attack

Panic attack is a common anxiety disorder. Usually, a person experiencing a panic attack for the first time notices an uncomfortable body sensation in their body and attributes unusual meanings to this sensation. The thoughts that cross one’s mind during a panic attack are so disturbing that they can sever one’s connection with daily life, such as dying, going crazy, having a heart attack. These thoughts naturally create a very serious anxiety. Anxiety and fear always cause physical symptoms. For example, when you see a lion in front of you, your brain immediately stimulates the area that rules the fear, this situation makes you feel anxiety and fear, and the secretion of the adrenaline hormone that allows you to react in emergency situations increases and you react automatically. Because you are in danger and these bodily reactions immediately activate you, you do not have time to stop and think, There is a lion in front of you and the organism has to move fast, because the waste of time will be the end of your life, a direct fight, flight or freezing reaction occurs. During a panic attack, your mind reacts as if there is a real lion in front of you. Your mind interprets these body sensations it experiences for the first time in terms of being able to die, go mad, or have a heart attack. It is impossible for these thoughts not to cause anxiety. The person becomes anxious and panics. This causes the physical symptoms to increase, as the physical symptoms increase, the negative thoughts increase, which increases the anxiety even more, as the anxiety increases, your bodily reactions increase and a cycle occurs in this way. This causes the physical symptoms to increase, as the physical symptoms increase, the negative thoughts increase, which increases the anxiety even more, as the anxiety increases, your bodily reactions increase and thus a cycle occurs. This causes the physical symptoms to increase, as the physical symptoms increase, the negative thoughts increase, which increases the anxiety even more, as the anxiety increases, your bodily reactions increase and a cycle occurs in this way.panic attacks

In panic attacks, this cycle must be broken. The person experiencing panic attacks should understand that they are not in real danger. Our mind only gave a false alarm, that is, we can say that it thought what it saw as a “lion”. After a period of panic attacks, our mind perceives that there is no dangerous situation and our bodily reactions return to normal. However, the scary experience we go through does not leave us alone. For this reason, we cannot continue our lives by saying it is over and we try to make sure that it is over and that it will not happen again, which causes the cycle in the panic attack to repeat.

None of us want to relive our bad experiences. The organism always wants to escape from disturbing situations because fear and anxiety are perceived as a mortal danger to our minds. For this reason, panic attacks that occur after the first panic attack are usually triggered by fear of feeling this way again. In other words, what keeps the panic attack going is the fear of experiencing panic attacks again.

A person who experiences a panic attack develops a variety of behaviors in order not to feel that way again. It tries to take precautions, especially in situations where there is a possibility of panic attacks, and these measures increase gradually. With the fear of having a panic attack, he begins to stay away from places and situations he thinks he might panic. Since the person who has experienced a panic attack does not allow the slightest disturbing feeling, he moves away from many environments and therefore his range of motion begins to be restricted. This situation reduces the self-confidence of the person experiencing panic attacks and usually the person stops doing something alone. Thus, his thoughts that these situations cause panic attacks become stronger.

Finally, it is important to remember that panic attacks are a harbinger of something wrong in our lives. For this reason, it is important to seek professional help to recognize the causes of panic attacks and to solve them completely. Studying these reasons will help you live a healthier and more peaceful life.
