Next week, from November 15 to 19, the ninth edition of the International IVIRMA Congress will be held. The main researchers in the reproductive field meet there. It is a reference in the Assisted Reproduction sector, bringing together the greatest researchers in this field in each edition. For the first time online, more than 1,000 experts will discuss the present, but especially the future of reproductive medicine.
IVIRMA Congress: a benchmark in the sector
Next Monday we will kick off the International Congress organized by IVIRMA Global. This is the ninth edition of the Congress, which takes place every two years. On this occasion, and for the first time, it will be held online. Although the main motivation is to ensure the safety of the attendees, this new format allows us to offer it in a simpler and more attractive way.
Present and future of Assisted Reproduction
Thus, more than 1,000 experts from 65 countries will discuss the present and future of Assisted Reproduction next week. Among the topics that will be discussed during the Congress, we find the latest developments in this sector, which is advancing by leaps and bounds, always ensuring that patients are offered the best and most avant-garde techniques. But also the most recent findings resulting from research carried out in recent times will be presented at the International IVIRMA Congress. Thus, among the topics to be discussed, we find: the role of mitochondria in ovarian aging, non-invasive PGT-A for the optimization of embryonic selection and ovarian reactivation. These will be carried out by researchers of the importance of doctors Emre Seli, Dagan Wells or Prof. Antonio Pellicer. Well consult the IVIRMA Congress program, with all the readings, talks and debates that are going to take place.
As we said, in this new edition of the Congress the latest discoveries will be presented, the result of research in the reproductive field. And the thing is, research is one of the pillars on which IVI’s leadership is based. For this reason and because we are aware of the importance of this field, the Congress could not be inaugurated with a topic other than this. Thus, doctors Juan Antonio García Velasco, Scientific Director of IVI and of this Congress, and Nicolás Garrido, Director of the IVI Foundation, will carry out a talk aimed at future professionals, on how to start in the field of research.
The IVIRMA Congress, for the first time online
Given the health situation that we are still experiencing, as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, this ninth edition of the Congress will be held online. Although, as we said, this will allow us to protect the health of those attending it. And, given that the Congress will take place from next Monday, the 15th, until Friday, November 19, this remote format will allow the attendance of the thousands of experts who gather around the world.
This new format has also allowed us to introduce improvements that will make the approach even more attractive. We continue to have the traditional readings, carried out by world-class researchers, who present their latest findings in reproductive medicine. One of the novelties that we will have in this edition is the incorporation of different debates, carried out by two experts in the field. Thus, in them, different positions will be dealt with around relevant issues on Assisted Reproduction. Workshops with different themes will also be held, aimed at different types of professionals in the sector. These are embryologists, family doctors or psychology professionals, specialized in infertility and Assisted Reproduction.
