Increase in gay mothers thanks to reproduction clinics

This is why, in recent years, in Spain we have experienced growth among couples of women who have had a child. In the last year, the number of homosexual women who have turned to assisted reproduction at IVI clinics has increased by 27%. If we look back, in the last 5 years the number of homosexual mothers that we have been able to attend at IVI has doubled.
To a large extent, this increase is due to the acceptance of the different family models, their visibility and normalization by all sectors of society. ROPA method: a shared motherhood project
The ROPA Method (Reception of oocytes from the couple) is one of the most used in vitro fertilization techniques among couples of homosexual women, because it allows both of them to be equally involved in the motherhood process. One of the women in the couple is the genetic mother, because she provides the egg, and the other is the biological mother, because she gestates it in her womb.
For all this, from today we launch a new service to help homosexual women who want to be mothers.
