“The IVI Podcast with Nuria Roca” is born, a new format that aims to give a voice to motherhood, family, women and women’s health. This new podcast is a communication tool that, on a monthly basis, will offer women the possibility of being informed of everything that concerns them at different stages of their life. To do this, it will have leading experts in the field of assisted reproduction, as well as testimonies from well-known faces who will talk about their experiences regarding these issues in a close, human and natural way.

Moderated by presenter Nuria Roca, this podcast was born in a turbulent context, which requires a comprehensive digitization of medical and social routines, as an opportunity to bring reproductive medicine closer to women and help them deal with their main concerns.
“According to a report recently published by IAB, 6 out of 10 Internet users over 16 years old listen to digital audio, a platform that is consolidated in an important way in our country during this 2021. This habit is spread mainly among the youngest and, above all, among the female profile. Aware of this reality, We wanted to take advantage of this innovative health communication tool as a speaker for all of them, to bring them closer and help them face and overcome the present and future challenges related to motherhood and female health ”, explains Nuria.

“This new initiative is nothing more than a step forward, a necessary evolution, adapted to the times we live in. Beyond a simple podcast, this initiative is a content platform that extends across all channels available to women, providing them with the necessary information for their freedom and autonomy in decision-making ”, she says. Age and motherhood: first topic for the podcast
Thus, the first episode of the IVI podcast, under the title “Is there a maximum age to be a mother?”, Addresses a topic that, historically, has generated great social concern, and does so at the hands of the model and designer Ariadne artiles, a recent mother of twins at 39; the doctor Antonio Requena, medical director of IVI; and Ana Fernández, IVI patient with secondary infertility.
“Initiatives like this help to inform, something fundamental when facing the most delicate choices of our life. Having a podcast at our fingertips that explains a reality that many of us were unaware of a few years ago helps us decide how we want to approach something as important as motherhood. I wish this had been around decades ago, ”adds Ariadne.
Infertility exists, and every day, fortunately, there are fewer taboos when it comes to talking about it normally and realism.
“It is important to naturalize everything. It seems that if you want to vitrify your eggs to be a mother in the future, it is something very cerebral. And we have been taught that motherhood is something very sudden and romantic. But you want to be a mother and for this it does not matter which channel you use. Spain is a pioneer in assisted reproduction techniques, so it is fortunate to know them and to be able to use them ”, points out Nuria.

Once the first episode on age and motherhood has been published and aired, we are already preparing the second episode. In this episode, entitled “When love and science create families”, Nuria Roca will interview the actress and dancer, Monica Cruz, which will tell about her experience as a single mother of a girl; the Dr. Anabel Salazar, director of IVI Málaga, will tell us how assisted reproduction is helping to change society by creating new family models, and finally, we will also hear the testimony of Carla, a patient at IVI Barcelona, who together with his wife, and thanks to ROPA method, they have been mothers of a child.
