Today, March 8, is International Women’s Day. An important date in which, through the IVI Foundation, we have wanted to join the Adecco Foundation, in its Women’s Week 2022. Specifically, we join forces to promote employment among women who are at risk of exclusion. It is recorded that, in Spain alone, more than 4 million women between the ages of 16 and 64 are seriously exposed to poverty and social exclusion.
Adecco & IVI Foundation: We have to take a closer look
And it is that, as we said, 28.1% of women residing in Spain are at risk of social exclusion. With special concern those over 45 years of age, affected by long-term unemployment. For this reason, we wanted to join the work carried out by the Adecco Foundation in order to make visible the difficulties that these vulnerable women encounter in order to integrate into the workforce.
The Adecco Foundation, together with the collaborating companies, has created an audiovisual piece that reflects this need. Under the title “We have to pay more attention” tells the story of Belén, a woman at risk of social exclusion. In addition, the difficulties that she and other women face, at an economic, social and family level, to find employment are testified.
It is also a story created by women for women. Hosted by Victoria Martín and Carolina Iglesias, comedians, presenters and winners of the Ondas 2021 award for best podcast. This video seeks to sensitize and create awareness about the obstacles these women face, with more added difficulties, and what makes them have so many difficulties when looking for a job.

One collaboration, multiple benefits for women in social exclusion
“With this action we want to respond to 5 of the Sustainable Development Goals, such as the end of poverty, the reduction of inequalities, gender equality, decent work and economic growth, and the generation of alliances, by supporting an initiative that has also been signed by 97 other companies”explains José Luis Esquer, IVIRMA’s HR director.
Thanks to this union of various companies and IVI’s donation to this cause, there are several actions that will be carried out:
- Workshops with experts: training sessions on essential topics with the aim of achieving employment in the current labor market
- Sectoral webinars: online activities to deal with the characteristic reality of the different sectors of activity and jobs
- Mentoring interviews by active professionals, about their experience, as well as the advice they can provide to successfully pass a selection process
- Virtual tours in which active professionals will show the day to day of the different departments that make up a company. In addition, they will tell you first-hand what the new paradigm of ‘SmartWorks’ consists of
- Empowerment days, with ambassadors and speakers who have experienced complicated situations, through a positive and hopeful message
- Communication and awareness campaign, with the aim of making the reality of these women visible and seeking the commitment of the business fabric, public administrations and society
- Employment project 2022 for women at risk of social exclusion, through attention to these women and the design of an employment roadmap throughout this year. The beneficiary will have the support of a consultant to help her work on the labor skills necessary for the job search
